Human Services Programs of Carroll County (HSP) is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as our Family Center Director. This position provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for HSP’s Family Center, supporting children, parents, and families through early childhood development, parent education, family support, and community-based services.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who is passionate about strengthening families, building community partnerships, supporting staff development, and ensuring high-quality services for children and caregivers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise Family Center staff, interns, and volunteers.
- Manage program operations, budgets, and grant-funded initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Maryland Family Network requirements and other funding regulations.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and social service agencies.
- Monitor program performance and outcomes to ensure quality services and continuous improvement.
- Promote Family Center services through outreach, presentations, and community engagement activities.
- Collaborate with HSP leadership to support organizational goals and strengthen services for families.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Education, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in human services, family support services, early childhood programming, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Valid Maryland driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of automobile insurance.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience managing grant-funded programs.
- Experience working with Maryland Family Network programs or similar family support initiatives.

Schedule: Primarily weekdays with occasional evenings or weekends as needed
