Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Barista Shift Leader to join our vibrant café team! Responsibilities
- Oversee daily café operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all team members deliver outstanding customer service
- Lead by example in preparing high-quality coffee beverages, food items, and other menu offerings with precision and care
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions using systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS, and ensure accurate register operations
- Supervise team members’ performance, providing coaching and support to promote efficiency and teamwork
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and ordering supplies as needed
- Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience for every guest
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and café operations
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales reconciliation, and retail math calculations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food preparation and serving
