Job Description
Lelia Electric is seeking a reliable and motivated Electrician Apprentice with at least 1 year of hands-on electrical field experience to join our team.
This is a part-time position to start, approximately 2–3 days per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time position based on workload and performance.
We work on a variety of residential and commercial electrical projects throughout the Westchester County area. The ideal candidate has prior experience working alongside electricians on active jobsites and is comfortable with basic electrical tasks, tools, materials, and jobsite procedures.
This is not an entry-level position. Electrical trade school alone does not meet the experience requirement. Applicants must have at least 1 year of actual hands-on field experience working in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with residential and commercial electrical installations
- Assist with running wire, installing devices, fixtures, boxes, conduit, and other electrical components
- Use hand and cordless power tools safely and properly
- Help with jobsite setup, cleanup, material handling, and organization
- Follow directions from lead electricians and work efficiently as part of a team
- Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on electrical field experience required
- Working knowledge of basic electrical tools, materials, and installation practices
- Valid and clean driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Basic hand tools and cordless tools
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
- Ability to perform physical jobsite tasks, including lifting materials and working from ladders
- Willingness to work additional days, overtime, or Saturdays when needed
