The Sustainable Partnership is working closely with a leading renewable energy developer and operator who are actively seeking for an Interconnection Project Engineer.
This client has a long-standing history in the renewables and power industry offering exposure to a wide portfolio of projects and a clear and defined career progression is available for candidates.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and understanding of interconnection procedures, queue, and transmission systems across different RTO/ISO’s. Experience working with PJM/CAISO/WECC is necessary for this role. You will be supporting greenfield development, interconnection study processes, due diligence efforts and the implementation of portfolio projects.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing transmission system analysis
- Identifying interconnection agencies and procedures
- Preparing interconnection requests
- Review and analysing reports
- Identifying potential red flags for project acquisitions.
Candidate profile:
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Comfortable reviewing and running power flow models
- Knowledge of interconnection studies
- Understanding electrical diagrams and the preparation of interconnection request packages.
- Awareness of transmission systems.
