Emergency Diagnostic Solutions is staffing an employer-sponsored health clinic for a large employer in Denton County. We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to lead clinic operations.
If you're in urgent care, retail clinic, or hospital-based practice and you're tired of the treadmill, this is a different kind of job. You'll build real relationships with a defined patient population instead of seeing a stream of strangers.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat acute conditions including respiratory infections, UTIs, skin conditions, GI complaints, minor injuries, and wound care
- Perform annual wellness exams and preventive screenings
- Manage chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, heart disease, and depression
- Provide allergy care and oversee allergy injections
- Offer pregnancy support and patient education
- Manage prescriptions and e-prescribing
- Order and interpret labs, with point-of-care testing onsite
- Coordinate specialist referrals
- Collaborate with onsite support staff and a supervising physician
Qualifications
Required
- Active Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) or Physician Assistant, in good standing
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Active DEA registration, or eligible to obtain
- Two or more years of clinical experience in primary care, family practice, urgent care, or occupational health
- Willingness to practice under a prescriptive authority agreement
- Current BLS
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
Preferred
- Family Nurse Practitioner certification
- Experience in employer-sponsored, direct primary care, or occupational health
- Comfort with adolescent and pediatric primary care
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Resides in or near Denton County

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
