Position Summary
The Inbound Lead serves as the Assistant Inbound Supervisor and is responsible for overseeing all inbound warehouse operations, including driver receiving, unloading, inspection, put-away, and inventory accuracy. This role supports the Operations Manager in ensuring efficient workflow, accurate inventory control, and smooth daily warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist inbound drivers upon arrival, verify shipping documents, and assign dock doors.
- Supervise unloading operations and ensure products are handled safely and efficiently.
- Oversee receiving activities to ensure all inbound shipments are accurate and properly processed.
- Coordinate and monitor put-away operations to ensure inventory is stored in correct locations.
- Ensure all inbound inventory movements are accurately recorded in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Utilize WMS for receiving, inventory updates, and location management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic WMS or system-related issues; escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate receiving discrepancies.
- Lead, train, and support warehouse associates in inbound processes.
- Allocate labor resources based on daily operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with outbound, inventory, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist Operations Manager in daily planning, reporting, and execution.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent learning ability and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Must have basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse systems.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic system and operational issues independently.
- Spanish or Chinese language skills are preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Schedule
- Typical schedule: Tuesday through Friday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Monday start time: 7:00 AM
- Overtime may be required based on business needs and operational demands
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
