General Manager – StretchLab
About the Role
StretchLab is seeking a driven, people-focused General Manager to lead the sales, operations, culture, and growth of one of our studios.
This is not a role for someone who simply wants to complete a checklist and manage a schedule. We are looking for someone who wants to run a business, develop a team, build relationships, and drive results.
Our General Managers are expected to know their business, understand their numbers, identify opportunities, solve problems, and take ownership of their studio’s success.
What You’ll Own
- Drive studio revenue, membership growth, lead generation, and sales performance
- Understand key business metrics and take action when performance is off track
- Lead, coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable
- Develop sales staff rather than becoming the only person capable of making decisions or closing sales
- Create an exceptional member experience and resolve member concerns
- Build local partnerships, referrals, pop-ups, and other grassroots marketing opportunities
- Oversee membership retention, cancellations, billing concerns, and member account management
- Ensure accurate documentation of member and sales interactions
- Maintain appropriate staffing, scheduling, studio standards, and daily operations
- Identify problems early and bring solutions—not just problems—to leadership
- Partner with Area Leadership while maintaining ownership of your studio
Our Leadership Philosophy
We believe in empowerment over micromanagement.
Our General Managers create clear expectations, train their teams well, and then give employees the confidence and authority to do their jobs.
The goal isn’t to do everything yourself. It’s to build a team that can operate successfully because of your leadership.
Who We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you are:
- Sales-minded and comfortable asking for the sale
- Competitive and motivated by measurable results
- Proactive, resourceful, and self-directed
- Confident coaching and developing people
- Comfortable having difficult conversations and holding others accountable
- Organized and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong at building relationships with members and community partners
- Able to delegate rather than trying to control every task
- Solution-oriented when challenges arise
- Coachable and open to feedback
- Energized by the opportunity to grow a business
Previous management and sales experience is preferred, but we care just as much about initiative, leadership ability, business ownership, and the ability to develop others.
What Success Looks Like
A successful StretchLab General Manager builds a studio where the team knows what is expected, members receive an exceptional experience, sales opportunities are consistently pursued, problems are addressed quickly, and employees feel empowered to make decisions.
You’ll know your numbers, understand what’s driving them, and have a plan for what comes next.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to lead people, drive sales, build community relationships, and truly take ownership of a business, we’d love to meet you.
