As a Special Education Coordinator/Instructional Coach, you’ll be instrumental in shaping inclusive educational practices and ensuring compliance with all state and federal guidelines, serving full-time through May 27, 2027. Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree required
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate endorsements
- At least three years of special education teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of special education law and best-practice instruction
- Commitment to building collaborative relationships with educators, students, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional leadership and coaching to special education staff across assigned schools
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding special education
- Facilitate and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Collaborate closely with administrators, general education instructional coaches, and the Director of Special Education and Student Services to support a robust continuum of services
- Promote inclusive instructional practices and effective interventions for students with disabilities
- Serve as a resource for curriculum adaptation, assessment, and differentiation
