Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Smog Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in smog inspections for all makes and models of vehicle. This role requires proficiency in using all the latest smog equipment and office equipment. The Technician will be responsible for inspecting all vehicles 1976-to present. Technician is also responsible for checking in and out customers, and scheduling appointments. Attention to detail and customer service are of the utmost importantence. Technician must posses the ability to work alone or in team.
Schedule: Tues-Sat 9:00am to 5:30pm with Sun and Mon off
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in customers
- Perform all smog inspections. 1976-present
- Ability to bend and lift 20 pounds
- Utilize the latest smog inspection and office equipment
- Ability to multi-task
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to quality standards
- Keep accurate records of smog inspection on OIS and paper form
Qualifications
- Proven smog experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Familiarity with different smog procedure on specific vehicles.
- Experience with all equipment needed for inspections.
- Ability to perform light lifting and bending as required by the job duties.
- Previous experience in operation of a smog shop is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Smog inspector license is required and in good standing with BAR.
- Passing follow up score.
- Pass drug and background screening.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $29.00 - $37.00 per hour
