Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Welcome guests to the bar and make them feel comfortable. Let them know that you’re there to take care of them.

Enter food and beverage orders from guests and servers into the point-of-sale system.

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with our drink recipes.

Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt in the point-of-sale system
-
Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change.

Wash and sterilize glassware.

Present Cantina Menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages, food and restaurant services.

Monitor guests' dining experience to ensure they are satisfied with the food, drinks, and service.

Respond promptly and courteously to requests and communicate guest feedback to managers.

Maintain organization and cleanliness in the bar area.

Perform side work at the start and end of each shift, as management requires.

Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.

Be familiar with TABC and Alcohol Service policies.

Assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
-
Be ready and willing to assist fellow bartenders and servers.

Attend all scheduled team member meetings.

Previous restaurant experience is required.

Ability to read and understand simple instructions.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members.

Ability to add and subtract two and three-digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money.

Ability to operate computer point-of-sale system.

Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Food Handler Certification is required.

TABC Certification is required.
