Star Shuttle & Charter is a family-owned transportation company proudly serving Texas for over 30 years. We provide charter, shuttle, and scheduled services for schools, businesses, tour groups, and special events. We’re currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our operations team and help coordinate safe, efficient transportation across our fleet.
Job Summary
As a Dispatcher, you’ll be the central point of communication between drivers, clients, and operations. You’ll schedule trips, assign vehicles, monitor routes, and respond to real-time issues to ensure smooth service delivery. This role requires strong multitasking skills, clear communication, and a calm approach under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers for charter, shuttle, and contract services
- Assign vehicles based on availability, trip requirements, and driver qualifications
- Monitor routes, traffic, and weather conditions to adjust plans as needed
- Communicate clearly with drivers regarding trip details, changes, and emergencies
- Maintain accurate records of trip logs, driver hours, and vehicle usage
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service issues
- Coordinate with maintenance staff regarding vehicle readiness and repairs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in logistics or transportation a plus)
- Prior dispatch or transportation experience preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Proficient with scheduling software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
- CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement

Schedule:
- Schedules is 6pm to 6am Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We work 24/7, 365 days a year.
