Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on pizza making. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in menu planning and development of new pizza offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Handle food items safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Strong culinary experience with fine dining or restaurant settings
- Proficient in food preparation techniques, including knife skills and meal preparation
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Experience in menu planning and catering is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
