About the Role:
barVetti is looking for a professional, customer-oriented Host/Hostess to be a welcoming presence at our upscale dining establishment. The ideal candidate is poised, polished, and skilled at creating a memorable first impression for our guests. Responsibilities:
Warmly greet and promptly seat guests with courtesy and professionalism
Manage reservations and efficiently accommodate walk-in guests
Keep menus organized and up-to-date
Maintain cleanliness of the host station and surrounding areas
Answer phone calls, providing information or directing them as needed
Ensure the front-of-house area is always well-presented and welcoming
Assist guests with inquiries, providing personalized service
Collaborate with restaurant staff to manage seating flow smoothly
Support other tasks such as bussing tables, running food/drinks, and polishing glassware
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining or luxury environment is preferred
Willingness to work part-time hours with potential fluctuations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional demeanor and polished appearance
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced setting
Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) is a plus
Physical Demands:

Standing and walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking to greet and escort guests to their tables.
