Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Processing bi‑weekly payroll cycle.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
- Support month‑end close, revenue recognition, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP.
- Run weekly and monthly Profit and Loss statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, billing errors, or compliance risks.
- Assist with cost allocation, contract profitability analysis, and labor cost reporting.
Contract Security Compliance
- Ensure adherence to wage and hour laws, including overtime, meal/rest break rules, and state‑specific labor mandates.
- Review scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll data for accuracy and compliance with client contracts.
- Validate that bill rates, pay rates, and contract terms align with executed agreements.
Audit & Risk Management
- Conduct internal audits of payroll, billing, and contract files to identify control gaps or irregularities.
- Prepare documentation for external audits, client audits, and regulatory reviews.
- Investigate discrepancies, potential fraud, or non‑compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline billing, payroll, and compliance workflows.
- Support implementation of system enhancements, automation, and improved reporting tools.
- Collaborate with Operations, HR, and CEO to strengthen cross‑departmental compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).
- 3–7 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial compliance; experience in contract security, staffing, or other high‑volume hourly labor industries strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and labor compliance.
- Experience with Paychex Flex and QuickBooks.
- CPA, CIA, CFE, or similar certifications (required).
- Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
