This is a human resource generalist role responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Recruiting and hiring of operating and maintenance personnel
- Worker's Compensation administration
- Provide support and direction for benefits administration
- Manage activities to facilitate support to operations departmental requirements Employee Relations - Counsel management and supervisory personnel regarding employee relations issues, including the determination of appropriate disciplinary actions General Requirement
- Handling of all aspects human resource functions, policy administration, and communications with the client group(s).
- Supporting key HR processes, such as succession planning, performance appraisals, merit and Short-Term Incentive Planning, government reporting, and compliance.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of HRIS
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a steel or manufacturing environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing plant organizations and structures
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
