Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs and updating medical histories using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all clinical areas are clean and organized for patient visits
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and collect laboratory specimens following proper protocols
- Support medication administration and basic life support (BLS) procedures as needed during patient care
- Document medical information accurately, including ICD coding, medical records, and detailed clinical notes
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-up communications, and administrative support within the medical office environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or inpatient wards to deliver seamless patient care
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; prior experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, or urgent care is highly desirable
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems and medical documentation standards
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding practices
- Experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and medical assisting procedures
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically in fast-paced environments
- Inpatient experience or Level I/II trauma center exposure is a plus; OR or geriatrics experience is valued
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications related to hospital or emergency care are advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in diverse clinical settings

Pay: $10.00 - $29.07 per hour
