Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring types in commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong understanding of floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning, buffing, and general janitorial duties. The Floor Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all areas are safe, clean, and welcoming for clients and visitors.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Execute specialized floor care tasks such as carpet cleaning, buffing, stripping, and waxing.
- Conduct inspections of flooring surfaces to identify areas needing repair or additional cleaning.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning products and equipment to ensure high-quality results while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in janitorial closets and storage areas by organizing supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Respond promptly to any cleaning requests or emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with environmental services practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
