Job Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Maple Grove, MN
Shift: M-F Shifts Vary Between 7am-5pm
Duration: Perm
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems)
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) when necessary
- Support physicians with medical documentation, ICD coding, and accurate record-keeping of patient encounters
- Manage medical records efficiently, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and proper documentation standards
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance patient service experience
- Assist with clinic operations including scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining medical supplies
- Support hospital or outpatient settings with skills in anatomy knowledge, physiology, radiology (X-ray), and emergency medicine procedures
- Contribute to quality patient care by adhering to clinical protocols in diverse environments such as inpatient units or outpatient clinics
- Maintain proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation accuracy and seamless information flow
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program
- Prior experience in clinical settings such as dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics
- Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and anatomy relevant to outpatient care
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or radiology are advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to perform medical assisting tasks including vital signs collection, medication administration, and specimen collection
- Inpatient or Level I/II trauma center experience preferred; familiarity with hospital environments is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and records management
- Excellent patient service skills with a professional demeanor and effective communication abilities

Pay: $22.23 - $27.37 per hour
