As the Dough Maker, you will be responsible for preparing fresh dough on a daily basis to ensure the highest quality and consistency of our pizzas. This position offers the opportunity to work independently, crafting the foundation of our delicious pizzas in a fast-paced environment.
Food Production - Knowledge of techniques and equipment for preparing food in a professional kitchen, including storage/handling techniques.
Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language to communicate with co-workers and customers in a natural manner.
Leadership - Ability to inspire team members and keep a level head in a high stress environment

The Dough Maker is a privileged position responsible for the management of the shops most coveted ingredient and recipe. The Dough Maker position trades the luxury of a fluid schedule with the responsibility of ensuring PIE.ZAAs dough recipe is followed to the letter, this includes understanding sales projections and stocking the appropriate pars to allow for a 48-72 hour fermentation. The specialized nature of this position requires attention to detail and an understanding of the flow of service. Experience working within PIE.ZAA is recommended to understand the necessary par requirements.

Perform shop opening duties (such as starting the ovens and setting up sanitation) before your shift begins.

Ensure that food waste is properly logged

Fill out prep list based on current pars and supervise its completion to ensure that our inventory levels are maintained
- Fully complete end of shift checklist and manager notes to keep our team informed and ensure that all tasks are completed as required.

Keep the shop clean and tidy, including wiping down counters, sweeping floors, and dishwashing, while maintaining a hygienic work environment

Assist in putting away food deliveries

Sorting and proper disposal of trash recycling
- Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.

Responsible and safety-conscious use of dangerous tools such as knives, dough mixer, oven, stock pot, etc.
- A food handlers license.
