Job Summary
Volvo Cars Palo Alto is seeking an experienced Assistant Service Manager / Senior Service Advisor to join our high-performing service team.
This hybrid leadership role combines customer service, service advising, and operational support. You'll maintain an active Service Advisor desk while assisting with the daily management of the service department, supporting workflow, helping lead the service team, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Service Manager with daily service department operations
- Maintain an active Service Advisor desk
- Greet customers and provide an exceptional service experience
- Write repair orders and accurately document customer concerns
- Present maintenance recommendations and repair estimates
- Build value in recommended services while maintaining customer trust
- Coordinate repairs between customers and technicians
- Monitor repair progress and provide timely customer updates
- Support advisor performance, workflow, and daily scheduling
- Help maintain high CSI scores and customer retention
- Ensure repair orders and documentation are completed accurately
- Assist in achieving department sales, productivity, and profitability goals
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Automotive Dealership Service Advisor experience required
- Previous leadership, team lead, or Assistant Service Manager experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proven success selling maintenance and repair services
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
