Come work for one of the top-rated grooming salons in Northeast Ohio for over a decade! Platinum Pooch Grooming has immediate openings at our busy Old Brooklyn location. Due to high demand, we are expanding our team. We are ready to bring on one more part time or full time professional groomer to step into an immediate, built-in clientele.
This position is strictly for an experienced, professional pet groomer who can confidently execute high-quality cuts in a fast-paced environment. We provide a state-of-the-art facility, all premium products, and heavy salon equipment—you just need to bring your own personal tools, your scissoring skills, and a compassionate attitude.
Professional Pet Groomer Key Responsibilities
- Full-Service Professional Grooming: Perform high-quality, full-service baths and grooms on all dog breeds from start to finish, strictly meeting or exceeding client styling requests.
- Precision Technical Styling: Demonstrate sharp knowledge of AKC breed standard cuts and utilize high-quality hand-scissoring and finishing techniques.
- Animal Safety & Compassionate Care: Ensure every dog receives a professional, safe, and stress-free experience, carefully managing the unique behavioral or physical needs of each pet.
- Client Communication: Maintain mature, professional, and intentional communication with pet parents during check-ins and pick-ups to build lasting relationships.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain a clean, organized workstation and work collaboratively with fellow team members to keep the salon running smoothly and efficiently.
Professional Pet Groomer Qualifications & Requirements
- Grooming Salon Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable, professional pet grooming experience within a busy grooming salon or vet clinic environment. (Grooming certification is a plus, but not required).
- Technical Toolset: Must possess and maintain your own personal grooming equipment (shears, clippers, blades, etc.).
- Breed Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of various dog breeds, coat types, and breed specific grooming patterns. Experience grooming cats is a bonus, but not required.
- Pace & Stamina: Ability to maintain a steady pace and handle a busy, high-volume daily book of appointments without sacrificing quality or safety.
