We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Clinical Director to lead our clinical department within a fast-paced inpatient substance use disorder and mental health treatment environment.
We are looking for a leader who is not afraid to step onto the floor, engage directly with patients, support their team in real time, and help continue building a strong culture focused on accountability, compassion, and quality care. This is not a sit-in-the-office leadership role. We want someone who believes in being present, involved, and connected to both the patients and the team.
The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight of clinical programming, clinical staff supervision, documentation compliance, patient care standards, and overall clinical operations within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the clinical department
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and accountability to clinicians
- Maintain visibility and engagement with patients and the treatment milieu
- Assist in crisis intervention, patient engagement, and difficult clinical situations
- Oversee treatment planning, documentation quality, discharge planning, and clinical compliance
- Conduct chart audits, peer reviews, and documentation oversight
- Review and approve clinical documentation as required for clinicians practicing under supervision
- Ensure compliance with DDAP, DHS, Joint Commission, and facility standards
- Assist with development of programming, schedules, groups, and clinical initiatives
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Collaborate closely with Nursing, Medical, Admissions, Care Coordination, and RSS teams
- Support performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes
- Serve as project director for the Department of Drug & Alcohol Programs (DDAP)
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field
- Minimum of 3 years of substance use disorder treatment experience
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience within inpatient or residential behavioral health settings strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation, compliance, and patient care standards
- Experience with EMR systems
REQUIRED LICENSURE/CREDENTIALING
Candidates must possess active Pennsylvania licensure and meet Pennsylvania requirements to provide clinical supervision and oversight of clinicians practicing under supervision, including review and approval of clinical documentation where required.

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
