Lawn Care & Landscaping Crew Member
DJ’s Lawn Care & Landscaping is hiring a dependable, hardworking crew member to join our growing team!
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, follows directions well, and can contribute to a productive, professional crew. This position includes a variety of lawn maintenance and landscaping duties, so applicants should be willing to learn and able to adapt to different types of work.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Be able to safely drive a work truck and pull a trailer
- Have experience with basic lawn maintenance, including:
- Operating a zero-turn or commercial lawn mower
- Weed eating/string trimming
- Leaf blowing and cleanup
- Be able to perform basic landscaping tasks, including:
- Trimming bushes and shrubs
- Installing pine needles and mulch
- Planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Assisting with aeration work
- Be able to install brick pavers for walkways while following instructions and project specifications
- Be physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Be able to lift, carry, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Be dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
Preferred Skills & Experience
The following experience is not required but is a major plus:
- Mechanically inclined or comfortable performing basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
- Experience operating heavy equipment, including:
- Skid steers
- Tractors
- Mini excavators
- Other landscaping or construction equipment
- Experience operating a stand-on aerator
- Basic knowledge of lawn-treatment products, including:
- Herbicides
- Pesticides
- Fungicides
- Ability to accurately read product labels and calculate proper chemical-to-water mixing ratios according to package directions
- Experience using a Billy Goat leaf loader for leaf removal and hauling
- Previous experience in commercial lawn care, landscaping, hardscaping, or related outdoor work

Job Details
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday work depending on workload, weather, and seasonal demand
Pay: Competitive and based on experience, skills, and equipment-operating ability
Location: Statesville/Troutman, NC and surrounding areas
