Snowmass Club is seeking Lifeguards to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable aquatic environment for all members and guests. From vigilant supervision to maintaining a pristine pool deck, this role is essential in delivering peace of mind and exceptional hospitality.

What You’ll Do
Safety & Member Supervision
- Monitor all pool activity to ensure the safety of members and guests
- Enforce pool rules and maintain a safe, respectful environment
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies using approved rescue techniques
- Administer first aid for minor injuries and provide emergency care as needed
- Participate in ongoing safety training and risk management programs
Pool Safety & Maintenance
- Maintain knowledge of pool chemistry, safety standards, and rescue procedures
- Ensure pool deck is clean, organized, and hazard-free
- Check and restock first aid and safety equipment regularly
- Follow all safety guidelines consistent with American Red Cross standards
Facility & Operational Excellence
- Perform daily opening and closing duties for the pool area
- Set up and store safety equipment, pool toys, and amenities
- Maintain cleanliness of pool, cabanas, and surrounding areas throughout the day
- Keep accurate records and reports as required by the Lead Lifeguard
Member Engagement & Activities
- Organize and supervise poolside games and activities
- Assist in testing and certifying junior swimmers when appropriate
- Support club events and activities across departments as needed
Team & Communication
- Communicate member concerns and safety issues to leadership
- Report unresolved disruptions that may impact safety
- Attend all required trainings, meetings, and development sessions
- Support team operations with flexibility, including weekends and holidays

- Previous lifeguarding experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and remain alert for extended periods
- Frequent swimming, bending, and quick response movements
- Ability to lift and assist individuals in emergency situations
- Regular exposure to sun, heat, and varying weather conditions
