Head Tennis Coach – Men's and Women's teams
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach to lead our tennis programs. This role involves developing competitive teams, fostering a positive athletic environment, and mentoring student-athletes to excel both on and off the court. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for sports coaching, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to student development. The head coach will be responsible for designing training sessions, strategizing game plans, and promoting sportsmanship while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
This is a full-time, 12-month position.
Experience and Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ tennis coaching experience; collegiate level preferred
- Strong knowledge of Men’s and Women’s tennis skills, strategies and NAIA rules
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, student-athletes, and administrators
- Demonstrated success with student athlete recruiting preferred
- Valid Driver’s license and insurable by Brescia insurance
Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Providing organization, direction, and administration of the men’s and women’s tennis programs in accordance with the mission of the University
- Coaching, mentoring, and providing leadership to student-athletes for a competitive and positive experience
- Recruiting academically and athletically talented student-athletes for the program.
- Coordinating travel arrangements for away games.
- Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coaches and program volunteers.
- Engaging in fund-raising and marketing for the program in collaboration with Institutional Development department
- Adhering to Brescia University, Rivers States Conference, NAIA, and any other appropriate governing body policies and procedures
