POSITION SUMMARY
NAI Hanning & Bean, a busy property management firm with multiple locations, is looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of maintenance activities to support their buildings and properties.
The ideal Maintenance Technician is a reliable, self-starter who is familiar with several entry-level trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, heating and cooling. Must follow all safety and security rules and regulations while performing a variety of preventative maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, equipment and grounds. Assists in monitoring building system operations and performance and completes work orders in a timely manner. Maintains ongoing communication with Property Manager, informing him/her of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes and other important information. Upholds a professional and courteous attitude with all people, including team members, tenants, and outside vendors.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot all types of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire systems and equipment.
- Perform routine inspection, preventative maintenance and operational testing of facility systems & equipment.
- Must be able to work alone, with other employees, and customer representatives while always demonstrating a professional demeanor.
- Responsible for completing assigned work orders in a timely fashion.
- Perform daily survey of buildings to identify repair and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager in response to the needs of the tenant(s).
ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS
Work Environment
- Normal accessibility of commercial work sites required for the position.
- Normal exposure to cramped spaces, loud noises, dust, and work safety hazards.
Physical Effort
- Normal physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job.
- Normal ability to handle routine materials and tools.
- Normal physical strength to handle 100-pound objects, taking frequency into consideration.
- Normal dexterity of hands and fingers.
- Normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot.
- Normal endurance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- General knowledge of heating and cooling, ventilating, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Facilities or maintenance experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
