American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level 1 Trauma hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience and an active ND or Compact RN license.

Acute care setting in a Cardiac Cath Lab at a Level 1 Trauma facility
-
Unit consists of 7 cath lab rooms
-
Patient population includes cardiac cath with intervention, device implants, peripheral vascular, stroke, structural heart, STEMI, and stroke patients
-
1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio during cases
-
4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm
-
On-call required every 2–3 weekends and one night per week as part of a 4-person call team plus MD
-
No floating to other units or departments

EMR: Epic (One Chart) and CUPID
-
Active ND or Compact RN license required
-
Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required

Large hospital experience at a Level 2 trauma center or higher required

Critical care background (ICU or ED) preferred

Experience with equipment including GE MAC LAB, EKOS, balloon pumps, IMPELLA, Angiovac, FFR, and IVUS preferred

Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years

All certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted

Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments, administering conscious sedation, and providing care for cath lab patients across a broad range of cardiac and vascular procedures

Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their application date

Candidates with a permanent address between 60 and 80 miles from the facility are eligible but will receive a local travel pay rate

Ceil blue scrubs are provided by the facility

All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility
