Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in our short-term rehab and/or long-term care units. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting with daily activities and medical care.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Help maintain patient medical records by documenting care provided and any changes in patient conditions.
- Assist with the mobility of patients, including transferring them to wheelchairs or beds as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care needs and concerns.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is required. *Must be a verifiable South Carolina CNA license.
- Experience in medical documentation within Point Click Care (PCC) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in senior living is a plus.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care practices is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including lifting and moving patients safely.
