Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and connect residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems according to schematics and design specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting.
- Interpret HVAC schematics and blueprints to accurately plan installation layouts and system configurations.
- Perform system testing, calibration, and commissioning to guarantee optimal operation and energy efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC units, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration setups, appliances, boilers, and property maintenance equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all phases of installation and service work.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including system specifications, parts used, and service reports.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction or field service environments.
- Familiarity with HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, and refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration.
- Practical experience with plumbing systems and appliance repair within residential settings.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) systems including air conditioning units and boilers.
- Skilled in equipment repair techniques like welding and general maintenance tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred for transporting equipment or materials.
- Experience with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems or mechanical equipment is advantageous.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently.
