About Anchor Bay Marina: Anchor Bay Marina is a premier rack storage facility, serving over 200 boats with a variety of storage options, including both rack and outside winter storage. We take pride in providing exceptional service to boat owners, ensuring their vessels are well-maintained and launched smoothly for the season.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Anchor Bay Marina. This role will involve operating heavy equipment, specifically our Wiggins Marina Bulls, to launch boats from our rack storage facility. Additionally, you will assist with shoring and launching boats in the yard. This is a hands-on position requiring a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate Wiggins Marina Bulls to launch boats from rack storage.
- Perform shoring and launching of boats in the yard.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and ensure proper maintenance.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure boats are stored, launched, and serviced in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure the safety of both boats and employees.
Qualifications:
- Several years of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in a marina or similar environment.
- Experience with Wiggins Marina Bulls or similar equipment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of boat handling and marina operations.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and moving boats.
- Willingness to learn and receive additional training.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when needed.
