Provide in-home patient visits based on the patient’s plan of care under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).

Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional activities, activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, safety techniques, and prosthetic training.

Observe, document, and report the patient’s response to treatment and any changes in their condition to the supervising Physical Therapist and appropriate healthcare team members.

Educate patients and their families on how they can actively participate in and support the patient’s rehabilitation and recovery.

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that promotes independence and improved quality of life.
To qualify for the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position, you will need:

Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state associated with this position.

Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification.

Valid state-issued driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.

Willingness to travel to patient homes within the assigned service area.

One (1) year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in home health or a similar setting preferred.
