Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties
- Perform detailed psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and diagnostic assessments utilizing ICD-10 coding standards.
- Prescribe and manage medications for mental health conditions, adhering to DEA regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, medication management, and behavioral interventions.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as psychologists, social workers, primary care providers, and specialists across disciplines.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical records, and clinical research data.
- Conduct patient education on mental health diagnoses, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies.
- Participate in telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health services for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with valid state licensure.
- Demonstrated experience working with behavioral health populations across various settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics.
- Proficiency in medical office software including Carepaths or EMR/EHR systems; experience with telehealth platforms is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology related to psychotropic medications and psychopharmacology best practices.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation tools like ICD-9/10 coding systems; experience in clinical research or acute care settings is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, and patient assessments with attention to detail.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment options and foster therapeutic relationships.

Pay: $100,504.73 - $121,037.95 per year
