The Human Resource Administrator is a member of the Compliance team in the Americas ensuring the company meets its objectives to shareholders, regulators, and most importantly to our employees. The successful candidate will work very closely with the Compliance Manager.
What you will do:
- Handling employee questions on health insurance, 401k, and other benefits and company policies
- Assisting employees with updates to W4, payroll direct deposit and 401k contributions
- Manage and update the Company Handbook – In particular revising for any updates required and ensuring that the company is compliant with the latest regulations and legal requirements
- Assist with planning and coordination of company events, meetings, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage the company process around recruitment
- Monitoring time off reports and submitting to payroll
- Providing census information as required for IRS filing, health insurance, etc.
- Liaise with the Compliance Manager to coordinate new hire documentation and onboarding processes, ensuring all required paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Facilitate New Hire and Separation Checklists.
- Administration of company health insurance schemes, including but not limited to:-
- § Adding/removing employees to our schemes
- § Ensuring health insurance paperwork is finalized and handing any questions for new hires
- Manage the employee information and benefits portal of payroll system.
- Identify and work with the management team to implement continuous improvement of HR processes and controls.
- Liaise with our HR teams across the Group to ensure that we maintain best practice and are in line with Group policies and procedures
- Identify areas for improvement in company policies and procedures tied to employees
- Assist with workers’ compensation claims
- Assist the Compliance team in the preparation and submission of Corporate and Individual gaming license applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Support the Compliance team in maintaining records and documentation
- Assist with other ad hoc compliance and office admin tasks as needed
- Support with Certificate of Insurance requirements with casino customers.
What you need to be able to do:
- Demonstrable track record of taking responsibility and control for a sizeable company, minimum 2 years experience in HR
- Experience with an HR Information System or Employee Self-Service portal.
- HR experience from the gaming / manufacturing industry, nice to have.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information and matters with a high degree of discretion and integrity
- Familiarity with state/federal labor laws and employment regulations
- Proficiency in data management, reporting, and recordkeeping.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Well organized with the ability to manage a number of conflicting priorities.
- Able to demonstrate teamwork and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A positive, ‘can do’ approach.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Nevada Gaming Board licensing required, we will apply for license for you if you do not currently have one
