We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced full time barista supervisor at Brothers & Sisters Co. Cafe to help us manage our front of house operations!
This role ideally will be a 5-day/week position, Monday through Friday, but we can discuss an alternate schedule with the right candidate. This shift is 7:30am -- 3:00pm.
This role includes the usual daily barista tasks: taking orders, making espresso and tea drinks, cleaning, stocking, & engaging with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, etc.
On the management side, the role will also include these other tasks: collaborating with our other management staff, helping set and uphold expectations with your barista staff, training new baristas over time, helping teach and pass along our FOH systems (as well as iterate upon them or change them when appropriate!), communicate important information and updates to baristas through our company group chats, etc. as well as, of course, setting a great example for your baristas in service, espresso bar work, and attitude!
An experienced candidate with prior shift lead/supervisory experience is preferred, or a candidate who thinks they're ready to take on more responsibility! A passion for coffee & espresso is a must. We work closely with the local roaster Atomic and take pride in having a knowledgeable staff who cares about the product they're serving. We're a very regular customer-heavy cafe, so connecting with our customers over time and helping us maintain our high standards in customer service and satisfaction is very important.
We're a pretty small but busy place, with a lot of longtime staff and management, as well as a deep roster of past employees who like to return seasonally when they're back in the Boston area. We pride ourselves on treating people well and having a positive culture, and we're looking for someone to help contribute to that!
Our outgoing Front of House Manager has been with us for almost four years, and hopefully will be on hand to help train her replacement!
