Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team at our Norcross location. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, claim submission, follow-up, and reimbursement for medical services.
Job Duties
- Review and verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, rejected, or outstanding claims
- Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to patient billing inquiries
- Post payments and assist with account reconciliation as needed
- Maintain accurate patient billing records while ensuring confidentiality
- Work closely with providers and office staff to support proper documentation and billing practices
- Assist with medical collections when necessary
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in medical billing required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and insurance claims processing
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and related billing systems
- Experience with medical records and billing software; eClinicalWorks experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of medical collections is a plus
- High proficiency in Chinese or Vietnamese is required
