Job Summary:
Northwood Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking talented and innovative Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team at our 75-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Springfield, Ohio. As a key member of our therapy team, you will have the opportunity to provide treatment and care to our residents, enabling them to live the full and meaningful lives they deserve. Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) play a crucial role in our mission to provide individualized, compassionate, and innovative healthcare services that inspire each guest to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and follow-up assessments
- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a physical therapist
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements:
- Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 0 years of experience in physical therapy; experience in geriatric rehabilitation a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
