POSITION SUMMARY
The Baja Deli Cashier is responsible for providing prompt and friendly service to guests, handling food orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, organized work area within the casino's deli. This role includes greeting guests, taking orders, managing cash transactions, and supporting deli staff to ensure high-quality experience for guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.)
§ Guest Service:
- Greet guests warmly, take food orders accurately, and answer questions about menu items.
- Provide information on daily specials, item availability, and assist with dietary or allergen inquiries.
§ Order Processing:
- Accurately input orders into the system, relay them to kitchen staff, and ensure timely order completion.
- Package and deliver orders promptly, ensuring food quality and presentation.
§ Cash Handling:
- Process payments, handle cash and card transactions accurately, and issue receipts.
- Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift, maintaining accurate financial records.
§ Work Area Maintenance:
- Keep the deli counter, register area, and seating clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Refill condiment stations, utensils, and napkins to ensure readiness for guest needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required food handler permits or licenses.
