Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain drainage piping systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation of drainage infrastructure.
- Perform pipe threading, fitting, and assembly tasks with attention to detail to ensure leak-proof connections.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with existing drainage systems and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with remodeling projects by integrating drainage components into existing structures or new builds.
- Support other trades such as carpentry or HVAC teams when necessary to complete comprehensive construction projects.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction plumbing, including installation and repair of drainage systems on commercial or residential sites.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading tools efficiently and safely.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical specifications.
- Experience with remodeling or handyman tasks that involve plumbing or general construction work is a plus.
