Responsibilities
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including play-based learning and social interaction
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with children to support emotional regulation and positive behavior management
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute educational programs aligned with developmental milestones
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns regarding child safety or well-being
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment
- Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members professionally
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols, including mandated reporting laws and health guidelines
