Full-Time 3rd Grade Teacher (2026–2027 School Year)

Hope Rural School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and faith-filled Full-Time 3rd Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to academic excellence, student growth, and fostering a nurturing Catholic learning environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage students creatively in the learning process.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with diocesan curriculum and Florida state standards.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Differentiate instruction through small-group teaching.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
- Establish clear learning objectives and prepare engaging daily and unit lesson plans.
- Maintain accurate classroom records and submit lesson plans and grades in a timely manner.
- Create a warm, nurturing, safe, and supportive classroom environment that reflects the mission of Hope Rural School.
- Integrate Catholic values and faith-based activities into daily instruction and classroom routines.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and implement age-appropriate behavior expectations.
- Use classroom and school-wide data to improve instructional practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Attend faculty meetings, retreats, school assemblies, parent conferences, and other school events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Education, or an approved Florida alternative certification program.
- Valid Florida Department of Education Elementary Education Teaching Certificate (Professional or Temporary).
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Supportive of the mission, philosophy, and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general technology applications.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards.
- Commitment to the Diocese of Palm Beach Code of Conduct.
- Successful completion of a fingerprint background check is required before employment.
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently bend, stretch, kneel, climb, and use both hands during classroom activities.
- Ability to perform the physical duties necessary for an active elementary classroom.
