Job Summary
Harbor Lights is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Marina Yard Worker to join our growing marine operations team. This is a hands-on position for someone who has prior experience working in a professional marina or boatyard and is comfortable handling vessels of various sizes.

Responsibilities
- Safely haul, launch, transport, and position vessels using a marine Travel Lift and forklifts
- Assist with blocking, jack stands, and proper boat storage procedures
- Move vessels throughout the marina yard safely and efficiently
- Perform bottom preparation including sanding, scraping, and bottom painting
- Skiff vessels of all sizes as needed
- Pressure wash hulls after haul-out
- Assist with spring commissioning and fall haul-outs
- Perform shrink wrapping and winterization assistance (seasonally)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe marina yard
- Inspect equipment before use and report maintenance needs
- Work closely with the marina team to ensure efficient daily operations
- Follow all OSHA and marina safety procedures
Skills
Required
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a marina, boatyard, or marine service facility
- Experience safely moving boats in a professional setting
- Strong understanding of vessel handling, blocking, and yard operations
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and water
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Preferred
- Marine Travel Lift operating experience
- Forklift operating experience
- Bottom painting and hull preparation experience
- Boat skiffing and fiberglass finishing experience
- Knowledge of boat maintenance and marine systems
- OSHA or heavy equipment certifications
