Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service through clear communication and friendly phone etiquette
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions, returns, and exchanges with accuracy
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods responsibly while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise to enhance their shopping experience
- Upsell relevant products and promote ongoing promotions to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the sales area is clean and inviting
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with inventory counts
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience a plus for leadership opportunities
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach
- Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments
- Experience in grocery store environments or retail stores is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
