Position Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, personable, and experienced Clinical Medical Assistant (MA) to join our tight-knit team. This is a 100% back-office, clinical role. We have a dedicated administrative team to handle checking in patients, answering phones, and administrative workflows, which means you get to focus purely on clinical patient care and maintaining an exceptional clinical experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Rooming: Welcome patients with a warm smile, room them efficiently, and take accurate health histories.
- Vitals: Measure and record vital signs accurately.
- Clinical Skills: Collect patient history and HPI, and prepare exam rooms to ensure a smooth, timely workflow for the provider. If trained, perform blood draws/phlebotomy.
- Patient Experience: Ensure every patient feels heard, cared for, and experiences a seamless visit from the moment they step into the clinical area.
- Clinic Flow: Collaborate closely with the provider and front office to keep the clinic running safely and on schedule.
- Back Office: Referrals and prior-auths where necessary.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient or primary care setting.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR successful completion of a state-approved Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-Basic, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic) training program.
- Certification: Active National or State Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA) OR active Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) EMT / Paramedic Certification.
- Phlebotomy Skills: optional but preferred (Phlebotomy certification is a major plus).
- EMR Savvy: Experience with Athenahealth EMR is a strong plus.
- Personality: A radiant, positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for human connection.
