We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused UPS Store Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while assisting customers with shipping, packing, printing, mailbox services, and other store operations. A valid Notary Public commission/license , and bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide professional, courteous service.
- Process domestic and international shipments using UPS and other applicable carriers.
- Pack, weigh, label, and prepare customer packages for shipment.
- Assist customers with printing, copying, scanning, faxing, and document services.
- Process mailbox rentals, package receiving, and other store services.
- Perform notary services in accordance with California laws and applicable store procedures.
- Operate POS systems, handle cash and credit-card transactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Answer phones, respond to customer questions, and resolve routine customer concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment.
- Follow all company policies, security procedures, and applicable shipping and notary regulations.
- Assist with opening/closing procedures and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current, active California Notary Public commission/license if applicable.
- Previous retail, customer service, shipping, office, or UPS Store experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn store software and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple customers and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift/move packages as needed.
Preferred Skills
- UPS Store, shipping, or retail experience.
- Notary experience.
- Experience with document services and printing equipment.
- Bilingual communication skills, particularly English/Spanish.
- Strong problem-solving and customer-service abilities.
