Duties
- Prepare and assemble deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts with precision and care
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Manage food safety protocols by handling food properly and maintaining sanitation standards
- Assist customers with their orders, upselling products to enhance their experience and increase sales
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, and refrigeration units
- Process cash transactions accurately while managing cash register operations and retail sales transactions
- Support food handling procedures in accordance with food safety regulations
- Restock deli displays and ensure product freshness for optimal presentation
- Uphold excellent customer service standards through friendly interaction and prompt assistance
Experience
- Previous food service or quick service restaurant experience preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in food preparation, deli operations, or culinary roles is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry or grocery store environment
- Customer service experience that demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean work environment
