We are looking for an experienced and competent Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance in our facilities for both machinery and physical plant. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations. An excellent maintenance supervisor must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. They must have technical skills and trades. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are essential. The goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times.
Responsibilities

Maintain shop and building equipment by following diagrams, prints, operations manuals and manufacturer’s instructions
- Troubleshoot equipment and repair when necessary including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines, building, and power tools
- Inspect facilities and machinery periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Locate sources of problems by observing both machine and mechanical devices in operation and listening for problems that may occur
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance needed and the completion dates/times associated with the project
- Provide machine and mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests from co-workers
- Prepare regular maintenance schedules
- Hire and supervise tradesmen during installation, repairs or maintenance (HVAC electricians, plumbers etc.)
- Inspect and maintain building systems (boiler, pumps, heating, ventilation etc.)
- Monitor inventory of supplies, materials and equipment
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations including local, environmental, and OSHA regulation with outside safety consultant
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician or similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations

- Computer literate
- communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional Certifications, Plumbing or Electrical license is a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Proficient use of meters and diagnostic tools
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent with not less than 5 years of relevant maintenance experience
