Metal Craft of SE NM is a welding and fabrication shop that receives a wide variety of jobs, from product manufacturing to building agricultural equipment. We are seeking a skilled fabricator who is familiar with the welding industry and can perform the skills necessary to complete projects
Required skills include:
- Ability to engineer, design, and fabricate with minimal guidance.
- Ability to assess what process or actions are needed for a variety of jobs, and carry those out.
- Have an engineering-style thought process - critical thinking of issues at hand.
- Customer service attributes to communicate what the customer needs and the best way to accomplish that.
- Cutting, welding, and operating equipment to create products or make repairs
Responsibilities:
- Take or read measurements to plan the layout and procedures of many different types of projects.
- Determine the appropriate welding method, based on requirements.
- Assess the process or actions needed for the job.
Requirements:
- Have experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Agility and attention to detail.
- Minimum 3 years of metal fabrication experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no CDL required).
Pay is dependent upon amount of experience.
