About the Certified Athletic Trainer Role
As a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), you will evaluate, advise, treat, and educate athletes who experience sports-related injuries or illnesses to help maintain peak physical performance. You'll provide injury prevention, assessment, rehabilitation support, and on-site coverage at practices and sporting events while collaborating with physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training required
- Board of Certification (BOC) certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) required
- Virginia Athletic Trainer License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
