St. Joan of Arc Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Technology Teacher to join our team on a Part-Time basis (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) for the 2026-2027 school year. The Technology Teacher will provide engaging technology instruction to students in Grades 3–8, helping them develop digital literacy, responsible technology use, and foundational computer skills in a Catholic school environment.
The teacher candidate should be able to:
- Support the mission and vision of St. Joan of Arc Catholic School.
- Create a consistently high level of student engagement and learning.
- Be capable of teaching a range of Technology programs and applications to students.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lessons in digital citizenship, keyboarding, productivity tools, coding, research skills, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support technology integration across the curriculum.
- Maintain and troubleshoot basic classroom technology as needed.
- Differentiate instruction within the classroom to meet the needs of all students.
- Establish positive relationships with students.
- Maintain a consistent disciplinary approach that promotes self-direction and confidence by setting high standards for student behavior and effectively managing inappropriate behavior.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues.
- Cooperate with the school administration to fulfill additional operational and professional responsibilities and duties as needed.
- Promote safe, responsible, and ethical use of technology.
All teachers shall be approved by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan and be required to hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate (Elementary or Secondary Education). Experience teaching Technology in grade schools and/or middle schools is strongly suggested.
