Job Summary
Technician Skills:
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing Hardware and Software
- Understanding of basic thermal measurement methodologies, e.g. thermocouple
placement, acquiring readings using automated data acquisition, thermocouple rework
- Has a previous track record of conducting tests - with the ability to summarize data
- Strong drive and passion to provide accurate data with attention to detail, and ability
to run sometimes very-repetitive manual test procedures
- Self-motivated and self-started with excellent time management skills, must be a great
teammate
- Strong individual contributor with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic machine shop experience and use of hand tools (Dremel tools, hand drills, files,
metal sheer, basic soldering skills etc.)
- Experience with Terminal and a Unix command line environment
- Some coding/scripting experience (Unix Shell or Python), and software
troubleshooting and debugging skills, and Labview Experience is a plus but nice to
have
- Ability to work independently using written instructions to complete tasks
- Proficient in using Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Key Responsibilities
Technician Responsibilities:
As a Thermal Engineering Technician contractor, you will be responsible for:
- Setup, deployment, and maintenance of test devices and fixtures for use in testing in
different controlled environments from 10C to 55C.
- Building models, disassembling, modifying and reassembling systems
- Working with cross-functional teams to run software-hardware test plans and
procedures
- Creating test reports and summaries
- Development and implementation of thermal test methods based on feedback from
the design team
- Thermal lab management including: organization of lab space and equipment
- Handling of prototype hardware; adherence to protocols regarding handling of
sensitive units
Maximum Salary (US): 95000
Minimum Salary (US): 62000
